CHIEF REGISTRAR - SUNDAY OLORUNDAHUNSI

.The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court was born on 16th April, 1968 at Ikaram – Akoko, Akoko North West LGA, Ondo State.

 

He completed his secondary education at Omuo Comprehensive High School, Omuo – Ekiti,   in 1986. After passing the G.C.E Advanced Level in 1989, he proceeded to the University of Benin, Benin City and graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B) in 1994. He later attended the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife and graduated with a Master of Law (LL.M) in 2001.

 

His previous professional appointments/positions held include:

  • Pupil State Counsel, Ministry of Justice, Kebbi State (1995 – 1996)
  • Counsel In Chamber, Akinsola & Co. (Legal Practioners & Notary Public)
  •  Counsel In Chamber and Ag. Company Secretary, Fatai Lawal & Co.
  • Senior/Chief Magistrate, Ondo State Judiciary
  • Deputy Chief Registrar, Supreme Court of Nigeria (Oct 2004 – July 2010)

A result oriented and highly motivated Legal Practitioner, Sunday Olorundahunsi was appointed the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in July, 2010.

DEPUTY CHIEF REGISTRAR I - MRS HAJO SARKI BELLO

.HAJO SARKI BELLO – The Deputy Chief Registrar I, hails from Paiko, Paikoro LGA of Niger State.
She attended the following institutions: Federal Government College, Idoani, Ondo State (SSCE), University of Sokoto, Sokoto State (LL.B (Hons)), Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island (B.L.) and the Nigerian Institute of Advance Legal Studies, Lagos (Legal Drafting).

 

 

 

Her previous professional appointments/positions held include:

  • Counsel In Chamber, Messrs Oluyede, Onwuagbu & Co., Marina, Lagos.
  • Legal Officer, Victory Merchant Bank Limited, Victoria Island, Lagos
  • Counsel In Chamber, Summit Chambers, Minna, Niger State

She was employed as a Senior Registrar in the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1996 and promoted as Ag. Deputy Chief Registrar in 2001. She was promoted to the Senior Registrar I position in 2004.

 

Mrs Hajo Sarki Bello has been a Deputy Chief Registrar of the court from 2006 till date.

DEPUTY CHIEF REGISTRAR II - BABA AUDU MUHAMMAD

.Baba Audu Muhammad was born in Bida, Niger State in 1954.

 

He had his primary school leaving certificate from Sabon Gida Primary School, Bida in 1968; Grade II Teachers Certificate from College of Arts & Arabic Studies, Sokoto in 1973; and the G.C.E. A Levels in 1976.

 

 

Baba A. Muhammad then proceeded to the Bayero University, Kano to study Law. He Graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Law (B.L) degree and he was subsequently called to the Bar in 1985.

 

After his National Youth Service Programme, he worked as a Part-time Lecturer with the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State between 1988 – 1990.

 

Part of his work experience include:

  • Member – Local Government Election Petition Tribunal, Suleja Zone – 1991
  • Member – Local Government Election Petition Tribuna, Minna Zone – 1992
  • Member – Land Use and Allocation Committee, Niger State – 1989 – 1992
  • Upper Sharia Court Judge, Minna, Niger State – 1992 -2007

With several seminars/workshops attended, Baba Audu Muhammad joined the services of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in October 2007 as a Deputy Chief Registrar.

DEPUTY CHIEF REGISTRAR III - MR REUBEN JEGO M.A.

No PixReuben Mathew Akawu Jego was born in Masuga, Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State on 10th March, 1966.

 

After his Primary School Leaving Certificate in from Sabongari Primary School, Sokoto in 1978, he proceeded to the Federal Government College, Warri and obtained his G.C.E. O Levels in 1983. He later proceeded to the Sokoto State College of Arts and science and obtained his A Levels in 1985.

 

Mr Jego obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B (Hons)) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1988 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990.

 

His work experience after the National Youth Service Programme (1989) include:

  • State Counsel II, Sokoto State Ministry of Justice – 1990
  • State Counsel I, Ministry of Justice, Birnin Kebbi – 1993
  • Senior State Counsel II, Ministry of Justice, Birnin Kebbi – 1994

After working as a Chief Legislative Assistant at the National Assembly (Abuja) in 2000, he was appointed as a Deputy Registrar at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

DEPUTY CHIEF REGISTRAR IV - AHMED GAMBO SALEH

No PixAhmed Gambo Saleh was born in Hadijia, Jigawa State, on the 3rd day of June, 1969.

 

He studied and obtained his first and second degree in Business and Commercial Law from Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto and Bayero University, Kano respectively.

 

He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1996, and practice Law as private Legal Practioner for two years, before joining the service of Jigawa State Ministry of Justice as a Senior State Counsel. While at the Ministry of Justice, he rose to become the Deputy Director, Legal Drafting. He was however, within this interval, seconded to the Federal Ministry of Works, where he served as a Special Assistant to the Honorable Minister from 2003 to 2005.

 

He thereafter returned to the service of Jigawa State Ministry of Justice and became the Acting Director, Legal Drafting.

 

He became a Special Assistant to the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (Hon Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi GCON (rtd)), and was later appointed a Deputy Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2010.

 

He presently occupies the position of the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of Litigation at the Supreme Court of Nigeria
